Can all permanent makeup be corrected?

Some corrections involve colour neutralisation, where a corrective tone is applied to balance unwanted hues. Others focus on reshaping or softening edges. During your consultation, Tara will assess what is possible and outline a realistic plan. In rare cases, full removal may be the best option before starting fresh.
How many sessions does a correction usually take?
This depends entirely on the issue being addressed. Simple colour adjustments may only require one session, while more complex shape corrections or pigment neutralisation often need two or three. If removal preparation is necessary, additional sessions are required before any new pigment is applied. Each session must be spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to heal properly. The full correction process can take several months, particularly if the original work was dense or poorly executed.
Will the correction look natural once healed?
The goal is always to restore a natural appearance, but this depends on the starting condition of the existing work. Well-planned corrections blend seamlessly once healed, with pigment settling into a tone and shape that suits your features. However, heavily scarred or overworked skin may not hold pigment as evenly as fresh skin. Tara works carefully to minimise texture issues and create the most natural result possible. Is correction work more painful than the original treatment?
Sensitivity varies depending on how much scar tissue is present and how recently the original work was done. Can I have corrections done if I am still having touch-ups elsewhere?
It is not advisable to have correction work done while you are still undergoing maintenance or touch-ups for the original treatment. If you are unhappy with your current provider, it is better to stop additional treatments and allow the area to settle before seeking corrective work.
