You may feel light pressure or a scratching sensation as the pigment is applied, but the area remains numb throughout most of the procedure. Sensitivity varies from person to person, and some find the inner corner or outer edge slightly more tender. The discomfort is brief and manageable, and the process is adjusted to your comfort level as needed.

Not immediately. You must avoid all eye makeup, including mascara, for at least ten days to allow the skin to heal without interference. Applying products too soon can introduce bacteria, affect pigment retention, or cause irritation. Once the area has fully healed, you can resume your usual routine. Many clients find they need less makeup afterwards because the lash line already appears defined. If you do choose to wear eyeliner later, it can be applied above the tattooed area without affecting the result.

Uneven fading can occur depending on how your skin heals and retains pigment. This is why a follow-up appointment is scheduled after the initial session. During this visit, any areas that have lightened or healed patchily can be corrected, and adjustments can be made to thickness or placement if needed. If you later want to soften or refresh the color, a maintenance session can be booked. For more significant changes or removal, options such as correction treatments are available to address older work or unwanted pigment.

Most clients return to work the next day, though there may be slight redness or swelling around the eyes. The tattooed area will look darker initially, which softens within a few days as healing progresses. You should avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, or anything that causes heavy sweating for at least a week. It is also important to stay out of direct sunlight and avoid using skincare products near the lash line during the healing phase. Plan your appointment when you can take a few days to rest and follow aftercare instructions without disruption.

Sensitive skin does not automatically disqualify you, but it does require careful assessment during the consultation. Pigments used are formulated to minimise allergic reactions, though a patch test can be arranged if you have a history of sensitivities. If you have eczema, rosacea, or frequent reactions to skincare or cosmetics, this should be discussed beforehand. Certain medications or conditions that affect healing or immune response may also suitability. A thorough consultation ensures that your skin type and health history are considered before proceeding with the treatment.
